The summer courses in German as a foreign language offer a four-week intensive programme to give you a lively introduction into the German language and culture and to help you get fit for your studies at a German university.

The courses are suitable for anyone who is interested in improving their linguistic and cultural skills or for anyone looking to prepare themselves for their studies in Germany.

Learn German in the summer

Aim	In-depth insight into the German language and culture in a varied four-week intensive programme
Course dates	July course: 06 – 31 July 2026 (Registration Deadline: 19 June 2026) August course: 03 August – 28 August 2026 (Registration Deadline: 17 July 2026) Both courses can be combined
Duration	4 or 8 weeks
Content	In the morning (Monday to Friday 9:45 a.m to 1:00 p.m.): Language course “German as a foreign language” at 4 course levels July: A1 to C1 August: A2 to C1 20–24 lessons per week In the afternoon: 2 excursions per week with cultural events (guided city tour, museum visits, picnics) Cultural programme Munich’s cultural scene, traditions, nature – for an overview of past excursions, please see our range of cultural activities during our last year’s summer courses. Number of participants	Minimum of 10, maximum of 20
Course fee	July or August: €550* July and August: €950*
Registration	Here you can register or apply for a DAAD scholarship. Please note! The application deadline for the scholarship is October 30, 2025!

Different fees may apply for participants who are financially supported by the DAAD.
