Frequently asked questions and answers
All your employees need for their application is a certificate or other proof that they have completed a Bachelor’s degree programme or are about to complete one. The subject area of your Bachelor’s degree programme does not matter, as the Master’s degree programme in Translation Management is non-consecutive in terms of content.
Generally, the following language skills are required for this degree programme:
- German or English: C1 competence level (CEFR)
- English or German: B2 competence level (CEFR)

In addition to a PC/laptop, students will need a stable internet connection, headphones and a microphone (preferably a headset) and an up-to-date operating system. For ideal learning success, we do not recommend using only a (smart)phone.
The professional partner and the University meet once or twice per semester in a virtual meeting. The choice of topics for seminar papers and projects is made in consultation between students, professional partners and lecturers and is therefore usually perfectly tailored to issues concerning your company.
The degree programme consists of online lectures on Fridays, self-study units and three weeks of face-to-face teaching in Munich per semester.<br/> For the seminar papers and projects, students should ideally be able to work on their assignments on 2 days per week. The seminar papers and projects always deals with company-specific issues.
