Statement on the crisis in the Ukraine

For us at the SDI München – with all of its students, lecturers and administrative staff – intercultural encounters and international exchange are part of everyday life. Languages and cultures from all over the world converge on our campus, resulting in an exchange of different ideas, opinions and positions and the development of meaningful solutions for the central issues of our time. In this way, we want to shape our own future and that of subsequent generations together. We are united in our rejection of violence and military means, oppression, abuse of power and discrimination in any form – our sympathy and support are with their victims.

In the current crisis, we would like to support refugees from Ukraine to the extent of our capabilities by offering scholarships. We have a variety of programmes, ranging from German courses to vocational training to become a language professional or a state-certified translator/interpreter, to career-enhancing Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programmes in future-oriented fields.

Additionally, we would like to draw your attention to a website created by the student representatives of the International University, where you can find an overview of donation and volunteering opportunities: munich4ukraine.de
