Application for international students

International Students

Start preparing early if you want to apply from abroad!

Getting certified copies and translations of certificates for your enrolment and the preparation for your German language examination can take some time. You also need to allow a certain amount of time to receive your visa once you applied for it. It is best to take care of your visa appointment when you apply for a place at the SDI!

Applying is easy and can be done online. Use our application system to provide information about yourself and the degree programme you are interested in. Finally, we will ask you to upload all required certificates and supporting documents in PDF format (as a single document). Your application is non-binding.

If you have any questions about the application process, you can also reach us by phone at +49 89 288102-35 or via email.

Once you have accepted our offer to study at the SDI, we have received all the necessary documents, and you have transferred your enrolment fee and the tuition fees for the first semester, we will send you the relevant documents for your appointment at the embassy or consulate in your home country.

From a non-EU country, you will need a blocked account as well as German health insurance for your visa and your studies in Germany. Fintiba and Expatrio can support you to resolve matters quickly and easily!
