How to apply for the study programme in 3 steps

At the SDI, you can directly enter the application process without admission restrictions.

Application

You can conveniently submit your application online. In our application system, you will be asked to provide personal data as well as details of the degree programme you are interested in. You will also need to upload all required certificates and supporting documents in PDF format. Your application is non-binding.

Admission

If you meet all the requirements, we will send you your admission and enrolment application form by email and by post.

Enrolment

Please return to us the signed enrolment documents and the certified copies of the certificates and supporting documents. Then you are all set!

Required documents

  • Proof of previous qualifications (university entrance qualification and, if applicable, university degree)

  • Proof of the required foreign language skills

  • Copy of identity card or passport

  • If applicable, certificate(s) of exmatriculation from previous university(ies)

  • Curriculum vitae in tabular form with passport photo and short personal statement (max. one page)

FAQ

Frequently asked questions and answers

No, your application to study at the International University is non-binding and free of charge!

Your enrolment application, however, is binding.

If you do not have the required language certificates, your language skills can be examined at the SDI as part of the application process. The German university entrance qualification serves as automatic proof of your English language skills.

Yes, you are still welcome to apply. You can submit the relevant documents later.

For information about BAföG, it is best to directly contact the Student Union. They will provide you with all the information about the requirements for BAföG and the application.

The academic timetables of the degree programmes are designed in such a way that you only attend seminars and lectures on 3 days and can thus work on the other days of the week. Our Career Center will gladly support you in looking for a working student position or other student jobs.

Furthermore, you can apply for BAföG and also for scholarships. We are happy to assist you in planning how to finance your studies.

Visiting students

Would you like to enrol as a visiting student?

In general, it is possible to enrol as a visiting student in individual courses of the degree programmes.
