Recognition

State recognition since 2006

The International University SDI München – University of Applied Sciences (formerly: University of Applied Languages / University of Applied Sciences of the SDI) is recognised and approved as a non-state-run university of applied sciences by letter No. XI/5-H6470-11/40 375 of 13/12/2006 of the Bavarian State Ministry of Science, Research and the Arts.

As an equivalent educational institution under the Federal Training Assistance Act (BAföG), the University exclusively offers degree programmes funded through BAföG.

The academic degrees Bachelor of Arts (BA) and Master of Arts (MA) awarded by the University can be used internationally without restriction and generally entitle the holder to pursue further Master's or doctoral studies at universities. The academic degree Master of Arts (MA) gives holders access to the highest qualification level, the higher grade of civil servants, when employed in the civil service in Germany.

The International University SDI München does not receive any state subsidies, but is financed exclusively through tuition fees and third-party funds.
