Professors

Prof. Dr. Andrew Williams

After graduating from the University of Melbourne (B.A., M.A.), I completed a doctorate at the LMU in Munich (summa cum laude). My dissertation concerned the role of myth in works of literature, in particular in the works of Hans Erich Nossack (1901-1977). After a period of working on a DFG research project transcribing and digitalizing Friedrich Nietzsche’s manuscripts, I worked as a freelance author and editor. I have written several guides to key works of English literature (Hamlet, Macbeth, To Kill a Mockingbird) and a short grammar of English. During my time at the SDI, I have focused on language competence, negotiation skills, corporate communication and intercultural communication.
