STIBET Scholarship
The International University SDI München awards scholarships to particularly qualified and committed international students through the DAAD-funded STIBET programme.
Who is eligible to apply?
- International students enrolled in Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programmes at the International University SDI München, who did NOT receive their university entrance qualification in Germany.
Who is NOT eligible for these scholarships?
- International students with German citizenship (also in case of multiple citizenship).
- Exchange students who are only studying at the International University SDI München for one or two semesters.
- Applicants to the International University SDI München who are not currently enrolled at the university.
Prerequisite for funding:
- First-year students who are enrolled at the International University SDI at the time of their application
- Students of the International University who have demonstrated very good to excellent academic performance
- Students of the International University who do not receive any other scholarships during the funding period (regardless of the type or amount of scholarship payments)
- Students who are enrolled at the International University during the funding period
The monthly income limit is €1,548. During the funding period, the total monthly income (from the scholarship, part-time jobs, and social benefits such as BAföG) must not exceed €1,548.
Example: Scholarship: €500
Part-time job / social benefits: €1,048
= Total income: €1,548 → limit reached
If the limit is exceeded, the scholarship must be reduced or your additional income adjusted accordingly.
DAAD-Prize
The DAAD Prize is awarded to international students at the International University SDI München to reward exceptional academic achievements and remarkable social or intercultural commitment. The DAAD Prize is awarded once a year to a student at the academic graduation ceremony and comes with prize money of €1,000.
The Student Services department coordinates the selection process with the relevant Programme Directors. It is not possible to apply directly for the DAAD Prize.
