Overview
SDI München campus
After 40 years in the Amalienstraße in Schwabing, the SDI München moved for the 2011 summer semester and now has its own campus in Obersendling. The campus at Baierbrunner Straße 28 consists of a total of three buildings: While buildings buildings A and B (main lecture hall) house teaching and administration facilities, building C includes both classrooms and student flats.
The property is almost 7,000 m² in size. The total usable floor space is around 10,000 m², of which buildings A and B have around 6,000 m². Building C has around 3,800 m², of which 1,500 m² are classrooms and 2,300 m² are student housing.
In addition to the SDI library, a spacious bistro and a number of computer rooms, the building also houses the SDI's new conference centre. It consists of main lecture halls I and II, each with parliamentary seating for 150 people. After opening the mobile partition wall, the combined main lecture halls can seat over 600 people with theatre-style seating.
Main lecture halls I and II are connected to the conference room via our state-of-the-art interpreting suite. The total of 12 modern interpreting booths can also be controlled via the control room.
