Student Testimonials

Phu-Tai (4th Semester)
“Thanks to the University I was able to build up a network of contacts. The exciting thing about the degree is the combination of languages, culture and business. The University has done a lot to help my personal development.”

Course Structure
  • You want to use languages professionally, but you know you will need other competencies?
  • You are aware of China’s increasing economic, social and political significance?
  • You are interested in global developments and you want to make a contribution to intercultural understanding on the international stage?
  • You can imagine working for companies or organisations that have close ties to China or are planning to develop close ties to China?

Then the BA Business Communication Chinese is the right choice for you!

The University of Applied Languages offers you a chance to learn Chinese intensively, with a practical approach and in constant and close personal contact with your teachers. At the same time you will gain an understanding of intercultural contexts.

You will round off your profile with courses in Business Studies and choose optional courses in the areas of Human Resources, Marketing or Intercultural Communication to further accentuate your profile. During a semester in China you can network and put the final polish on your Chinese, making you an expert for intercultural cooperation and communication with a focus on China.

After graduation you can choose from a wide range of professional activities. Or you might choose to begin a Master’s degree abroad or in Germany (for example for the MA Intercultural Communication and Moderation at the University of Applied Languages).

Your Career Prospects after Graduation

After you finish your degree you will be ready to start your career, be it in a German or in an international company or organisation with close ties to China. Or you might work for an organisation that is planning to establish ties with China. You might work in:

  • International Marketing
  • Global Market Research
  • International Project Management
  • Consultancy
  • Human Resources
  • Professional Training
  • International Sales and Distribution

You will also be qualified to study one of the many Master Degree Programmes in Germany or abroad, including the MA Intercultural Communication and Moderation at the University of Applied Languages.
