Effi Briest, Solino, Goethe!, Good bye Lenin!, Herbstmilch, Nirgendwo in Afrika, Sophie Scholl, Jenseits der Stille, Das Leben der Anderen and Wer früher stirbt, ist länger tot are just a few important German films.

Some are classic films, others are recent releases. But all these films embody German culture and/or German history. We also watch film adaptations of literary works, portrayals of artists, police procedurals, comedies, romantic films, and many more.

Explore the world of German cinema by watching excellent actors and actresses such as Daniel Brühl and Julia Jentzsch, Jessica Schwarz and Moritz Bleibtreu, Katja Riemann and Jürgen Vogel, Martina Gedeck, Romy Schneider, Ulrich Mühe, Ulrich Tukur, Sebastian Koch, and many more.
