University of Applied Languages

The University of Applied Languages offers officially recognised courses of studies in the fields of languages, economics and technology.

The university complements the classic training programmes offered by the Sprachen & Dolmetscher Institut München (Munich Institute of Languages and Interpreting, SDI), which for over 50 years has been among the most renowned educational institutions in Europe for training translators and interpreters.

The new University of Applied Languages benefits from the SDI’s tradition and experience. Thanks to the consecutive and flexible interconnection of all courses of study under one roof, students enrolled in the SDI’s standard language programmes benefit from the new opportunity to obtain an academic degree (undefinedBA and/or undefinedMA).
With its small classes and work-groups as well as personal and individual support, the University of Applied Languages attracts more and more interculturally interested students who would like to combine foreign languages with technical or business know-how.

You can choose between seven undefinedBA and undefinedMA programmes, one of them part-time, which will qualify you for all fields of employment requiring professional multilingualism.

For further information, write an email to hochschulesdi-muenchende or browse through the complete curriculum in German.
