Discounts on Tuition Fees

A discount on tuition fees is possible when paid in larger individual sums, or in one sum in advance:

  • 5 % discount when tuition fees are paid in full before commencement of studies
  • 3 % discount when tuition fees are paid in yearly instalments before commencement of the 1st, 3rd and 5th semesters and one instalment before commencement of the 7th semester.

The discount is only valid for tuition fees during the regular period of study.

Guest Students

In principle, it is possible to enrol as a guest student in individual courses of each degree programme.

For further information on prerequisites and fees, please contact the University’s Study Office (Studienamtsdi-muenchende).

Mode of Payment

Enrolment is for the whole course of studies. Enrolment is according to the enrolment contract between the student and the University of Applied Languages (terms and conditions are on the reverse of the enrolment contract). The contract obliges the student to regular payment of the tuition fees for the whole course of studies. The fees are monthly fees. They are paid either in advance for every semester (October and April each academic year) or monthly (from October to September each academic year). The desired method of payment (monthly or per semester) must be indicated on the enrolment form. If you choose to pay at six-monthly intervals you must pay punctually without any reminder from the University. Monthly payment is only possible by automatic debit transfer. Your account will be debited on the 10th of each month.

As of winter semester 2013/14, all students must pay a contribution to the Studentenwerk (organisation providing social, financial and cultural support services to students in Germany) as well as the contribution for the semester ticket (€62.00 + €67.40 = €129.40). This is debited with the monthly fee for the previous semester on 15th September and 10th February.

Students who do not use the automatic debit transfer system, but who choose to pay tuition fees by bank transfer at the beginning of each semester, must transfer €129.40 to the University by 13th September and 10th February respectively.

For first-time enrolments the one-off admission fee, the contribution to the Studentenwerk and the semester ticket are payable at enrolment, by 13th September at the latest (€375.00 + €62.00 + €67.40 = €504.40).
